Lang Tengah 2 - Part 1
20th April 2006 - 24th April 2006
I am back to LT again. hehhee... This time I am there with my instructor for advance. Joining me for the course are Park Yoke & Siew Foong, together in the trip are Nantha and Ah Siong. Upon arrival to the KT airport, we met up with Anselm, Vanessa & Khong Heng (travelled by bus) and headed to the Jetty. In the previous Lang Tengah trip section, I mentioned about the 'ayam panggang'? Is called Norra Ayam Panggang. At the Jetty, we put our luggage a side and walked around those souvenir stalls while waiting for the gang of 4 to arrive.
Souvenirs sold along the stalls
We boarded the boat to the island upon Kwa's gang arrival. Due to 'a long lorry carrying pillow, overturn' making them late. haaha...Kwa you ok with the description? I didn't missed any details this time. ahha... 10:43 a.m., we were on board heading to the island. For this trip, we will be staying at Square Point Resort due to renovation in Blue Coral Resort. On board, is filled with engine and water splashing sound as boat run in the waves.
Upon arrival, we walked ourselves to the beach. As I am wearing three-quarter long trousers, I thought that it wouldn't get wet, but the water level is higher then expected... erghhhh.... Note: please pull up the trousers when you are reaching the island for unnecessary 'getting wet'. Miki, the dive center operator, came with boat to pick up our dive gears. Is drizzling. As is approaching noon, we had our lunch before our dive... Energy, energy... Food....
Once we are done, we got ourselves ready to jungle trek. WHAT??!! Jungle Trekking? Yes, jungle trekking. You didn't read it wrong. You see, as the dive center is located at Blue Coral, we need to walk pass the jungle in order to start our dive. Therefore, jungle trekking.
Jungle Trekking starts here.......
As we jungle trek, we managed to meet with the residents. Well, you wouldn't want them to say hi.
First resident we met : Its mending the web. Wow, you wouldn't believe how tender is the web.

The uncountable resident : Waiting for its prey

Wow.... Forgot to mentioned. Alex took a photo of a spider which say 'chheessseee'. No joke. The spider captured in his photo really has a smiling face. Good shot Alex. Another photo thats creative is from Mr Poh. Where Mrs Poh, positioned herself behind the spider, with the angle effect, it looks like the spider landed on top of her face. This is way too creative Poh. Ooohh, there are still other residents that we saw during the trek, to name a few, chameleon, milipedes, lizards.... and feel free to update my list.
According to Lynette, the trek takes 1 minute. Really wanted to ask which time is she using. hahah... Well, to be exact, it takes 2.5 minutes to walk out the jungle. Hmm... maybe make it 3 minutes to accomodate to those 'Watch where you are going', some eeeeee.... and wow.... sounds from us, first timer. And another minute to the center. Well, travelling back is always faster. And the next trip heading the center is also faster as we have recognize where the residents resides. To be continue......
