Malaysia International Fireworks Competition 2008 - China

Is a Saturday and is China team. This time we shifted to a park in Cyberjaya. Later was told that it is known as Cyberview Lodge. I arrived earlier then my friend whereby he is taking his cousins along. Bad news for me that I lost my release shutter in the previous show. Therefore I tried my luck with my faithful EOS 50 with a very safe composition. Due to the EOS 50 release shutter, I accidentally wasted a few shots. Well should have rewind it and reuse the film again only that I don't have the mechanism to take the film leader out. Aiks, reminded me now that the CF function (CF2 -1) of EOS 50 will remain the film leader outside its canister after rewinding. wahhhhhhhhh....

- Seri Saujana Bridge from Cyberview Lodge

As there is only 36 shots allow, oops should be 33 shots due to those 'accident', I have to use it carefully and of cause it finishes before the show. There after I shifted to my EOS 20D and trigger the shutter carefully to minimize shake. This is how you do it, hold the camera and place the index finger on top of the shutter release. Press it down to take the shot and slowly release it to close the shutter. Move only the index finger and place the rest in holding position.

We have some reflections from the lake. Me and my friend felt that China's fireworks are nice but alot said is just so so. Well this is also a very subjective view. There are alot of loves shape shot almost till the end of the show.

- can you see that the outline looks like a LOVE shape?

                                                                         - this is the shot that I like and given it a name '天生一對' (A pair)

All the photos above are posted with no cropping applied. The day after we found out that the theme from China is '牛郎織女', which most of the bursts are like in pairs. Well done China.
